Oberholtzer's is a seasonal sorghum mill on Sloan Fork Road. Each fall, when the cane reaches peak sweetness, the crew harvests and presses it, then cooks the juice down over wood-fired boilers, skimming as it reduces into pure sorghum syrup. It's 100% pure, unblended, and all natural.
The mill runs seasonally in the autumn, generally September through October, and you can watch the sorghum being made while it's in season. Syrup is sold by the jar.
