Bread of Life Cafe

Restaurant

What started as one woman's creative solution to fund a children's home has grown into one of Casey County's most beloved dining destinations. In the early 1990s, Sandy Tucker — "Mom" to many — opened a small Christian bookstore in downtown Liberty to help support Galilean Home Ministries, the children's ministry she and her husband Jerry had poured their lives into for decades. When she added four tables and a soup-and-sandwich menu to keep the doors open, something special was born. By 1995, Bread of Life Café was official, and Mom's homemade rolls and hearty southern cooking quickly outgrew every building they called home. Today, our 150-seat restaurant sits five miles south of Liberty on Highway 127, serving up loaded buffets, an extensive menu of good ol' southern cookin', and the same warm hospitality that's been our hallmark from the start. Every dollar beyond operating costs still goes directly to Galilean Home Ministries, and the Café continues to provide meaningful work for some of the ministry's residents. Sandy passed in 2007, but her vision that a good meal and a generous spirit can change lives continues on in every plate we serve. Come hungry, leave full, and know that your meal is making a difference.
